Here's a coin with possibly the most subtle pyramids out there: the 1938 Hawaiian (European) Discovery Sesquicentennial Half Dollar.

On the obverse, flanking "HALF DOLLAR" near the bottom rim are found - per the US Mint - "Eight small pyramids...representing Hawaii's eight largest volcanic islands."
