Hi everyone,

I've been a coin collector for a while, but recently I've started exploring paper money / banknotes, both old and new. I'm fascinated by how older notes carry history and tradition, while modern banknotes showcase advanced design and security features. It really feels like each note tells a story about its country and culture, across generations.

I've attached a couple of photos of older notes vs. newer ones from my collection — I'd love to hear what you think!

Do you prefer the character of historic notes or the cutting-edge look of modern ones? Looking forward to learning from you all!

You have some nice notes.
I prefer older than newer. But a good mix of old and new shows the story of how the notes have evolved over time.

I am fond of most banknotes, but I am rather fussy about grade. I want them in UNC or close to it, in most cases. I can handle a VG coin but a VG note doesn't do much for me. Older ones with good engraving are quite interesting, but many modern ones are so colourful and have such interesting designs that I like them too.
