PCGS - Gold Certificates allowed citizens to deposit gold in exchange for paper notes, but this one is remembered for its typo instead. One Thousand Dollars was misspelled, making it one of the most famous spelling errors in U.S. currency. Graded PCGS Extremely Fine 40, this note is among the finest known. Once you notice it, you can't stop looking.
