I haven't posted on this site since early January because "the well ran dry". I've found only two 40% silver half dollars and a few silver dimes since then. This has been especially disappointing because I found >250 half dollars containing 47 ounces of silver in bank-wrapped rolls that I purchased from the same regional bank during the four-month period between mid-August and mid-December. But I've been skunked by the rolls I purchased there since then. In addition, it has been very difficult to find loose half dollars or CWRs at other banks since the spot price of silver went through the roof during early December.
My luck changed a bit today when I found a 1952 George Washington Carver-Booker T. Washington commemorative half dollar in one of two boxes that I purchased from that bank yesterday. But it was the only silver coin in the box. Curiously, this is the second time that I've found this commemorative coin while CRH.
