to the CCF, ken key!
The reverse looks good, and the weight is in the right neighborhood. Here is the Numista listing: https://en.numista.com/12119
Could you post a better picture of the obverse, as that seems to be where the issue is found?

The coin is made of debased-silver (.550 fine), which can turn odd colours naturally. I would assume it's "just toning", rather than some kind of mint error.

The Royal Mint had just switched production of British coins from .925 to .500 silver in 1920, and I think they had problems with the alloy: many British coins of 1920-27 show this effect. Here's a rather extreme example on a 1923 halfcrown:

Thanks for that information, NumisRob! I have several British coins from that time period that I haven't photographed because I thought that they were "stained".

Thanks every one..as it's a low value coin I did clean it witch I know is a cardinal sin but my intrest in the copper streak kinda out weighd the value of the coin,so I can say 100% it's not natrual toneing...so ime thinking just a badley mixed alloy due to low silver content alloy mix.ille keep digging to see if theres any more of tge same coin...seems genuine though, hopefully &
