Just thought I'd point this out in case you all missed it and would like to hear your thoughts.
The US Mint still has 23,554 Superman Medals for sale at the reasonable price of only $200.00

So what to do:
1) Call the Mint and make an offer, say @ $80.00 or
2) Or offer to buy 2 for the price of 1
Anybody ever called the Mint and made an offer?
Any idea what a "bulk buyers" price would be?
If they continue not to sale what will the Mint do with them?

I just looked at this medal for the first time. There is nothing on it to indicate that it is a product of the US Mint, unless it's on the edge. But I don't think I'd get one even at $80.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
