It has been a great week for coins so far. This is a nice specimen of a 1954-S/D nickel that I picked off ebay.

Nice example.

Based on your excellent detail photo, I say that reverse die had seen a lot of use by time this coin was struck.

Nickelsearcher, I would agree on LDS or VLDS. There is a considerable amount of die flow on the obverse, and the reverse PIDT is far along. They ran dies hard in 1954!
