I was able to get a close(er) up shot of the K11 feature with better definition, it is a half-struck through flake of the inner rim. The left side is struck into the field, and the right side is raised and casting a shadow.

Edit: The O (and other characters), severe die wear and Machine Doubling, in my opinion. Apologies for cropping out the "I"

Final Edit: I found my 1964-D and 1970-D which exhibit a similar but more intense "flaking", which appears more cud-like (albeit not scattered in the field). I could post an example pic of that here, or in a new thread, unsure of etiquette. I'd love to finally figure these out.
