1914-S Buffalo Nickel - Condition?

I'm having trouble really capturing the surface on this properly, but it's approaching mirror-like, especially the reverse. It's not, but I think it's almost certainly the highest-grade Bison I've laid hands on. There's a peculiar raised bit on the rim from 6:00-8:30 on the obverse. Not sure what that's about. Maybe some kind of lamination thing? It doesn't really show well in this photo. I'll try and get a better one.

While the weak LIBERTY is unfortunate, what do you make the condition based on photos?
