I drove to a local bank this afternoon to purchase the $90 in half dollars that a teller told me were available at that branch. When she brought them to me, I saw that the rolls were in very old wrappers! Previously I've found nothing but 90% or 40% silver coins in rolls with that kind of wrapper.

This collection dump contained 180 bicentennial coins worth 50 cents each...

Hey, what other hobby can you return something for full face value, after your done with it?

(I'll be making a trip to one of my branches for the same reason tomorrow! )

It blows my mind that a bank teller would call you to let you know they have anything of interest. Did you go to grade school with this teller?

Back in the 1990s my girlfriend was a bank teller. I owe her thanks for most of my success.
