Continuing my survey of United States ("US") modern series commemorative coins that were setup to reduce the national debt...- 1990 Dwight David Eisenhower Birth Centennial"The Secretary shall deposit in the general fund of the Treasury for the purpose of reducing the Federal debt an amount equal to the amount of all surcharges that are received by the Secretary from the sale of the coins referred to in section 1(a)."  - 1991 United Services Organization 50th Anniversary"Surcharges received from the sale of coins minted under this Act and deposited in the coinage profit fund under section 12 shall be used as follows:
"(1) USO PROGRAMS.—50 percent shall be promptly paid to the USO. Such amounts shall be used by the USO to fund programs, including airport centers, fleet centers, family and community centers, and celebrity entertainment.
"(2) REDUCTION OP NATIONAL DEBT.-- 50 percent shall be transferred to the general fund of the Treasury for the sole purpose of reducing the national debt."  - 1991 Mount Rushmore National Memorial - 50th Anniversary"Of the total surcharges received by the Secretary from the sale of the coins issued under this Act--
"(1) 50 percent shall be returned to the Federal Treasury for purposes of reducing the national debt; and
"(2) 50 percent shall be promptly paid by the Secretary to the Society to assist the Society's efforts to improve, enlarge, and renovate the Mount Rushmore National Memorial." The authorizing legislation was amended in 1994: "Section 8 of the Mount Rushmore Commemorative Coin Act (104 Stat. 314; 31 U.S.C. 5112 note) is amended by striking paragraphs (1) and (2) and inserting the following:
"(1) the first $18,750,000 shall be paid during fiscal year 1994 by the Secretary to the Society to assist the Society's efforts to improve, enlarge, and renovate the Mount Rushmore National Memorial; and
"(2) the remainder shall be returned to the Federal Treasury for purposes of reducing the national debt."
