So I have 2 1982 D pennies. They was handed down to me. They do weigh 3.11 each so they are solid bronze copper. If I remember correctly. So the 8 the top loop is smaller than the bottom loop. And the 2 curves just like a backwards s. So what do I do with them now? Auction or keep? If anyone has more information please...

Large Date. Do not go by the numbers, they can get damaged or distorted. Go by the distance of the 2 from the rim. If another number will fit in the space, then it is a Small Date. If it is close to the rim, then it is a Large Date
