Holy Toner, Batman! We're surrounded by hordes of gorgeous coins in here!
Just beginning its slow-motion slide over the borderline into Rainbow Territory is my contribution for today, a one-penny token from 1811 issued for the City of Bristol in Britain, featuring the city council's fabulous coat of arms, which was licensed by the Crown's College of Arms a few years earlier... in 1659.Withers 416, Davis 76, 34mm, 18.7g, "Very Common." (Posted yesterday in the "Lustrous Brownies" forum, which today seems somehow less appropriate than this one.)
