My goal of a type set of notes from Portugal (Escudo's) continues. Today's note is a 2$50 Escudos, I had originally hesitated to get this one due to the small bit of rust/stain on the note. I was going to pass but decided to do a little more checking and after some research, I ended up buying it. This note (date and signature combination) doesn't exist in Numista or Banknote.ws, every auction I found doesn't have the date and signature combination and there are only 22 graded notes, so this note is pretty rare if not the only one with a signature of Rui Enes Ulrich and a date of 11/18/1925. Other than the small spot, the note is better than VF25, it has a bright color and while it may have been pressed in a heavy book, it has a nice appearance. Coupled with no records (that I could find) of the date and signature, I'm pretty happy to get it.

Bolivia 20.000 Pesos 1984. Of this series, the 100k and 500k are easy to find and cheap to buy (less than 5 $ in UNC). The 20k is a different story. Shortly after this, there was a devaluation which led to overprinted issues. These overprints come in a multitude of varieties. Looks like someone really ate their heart out there LOL. But that's a different story.

@hfjacinto! Another classic example of "buy the note, not the holder," as this note definitely has the eye appeal of a 30-35. I really like the colour, & although the rust shows through on both sides, it looks bright & fairly crisp. Another huge plus is that its missing the heavy vertical crease we often see on VF25's (it's had equal folding everywhere which often is far more appealing to view than one that's been folded over & over centrally). Congrats on a great find!

Thanks Walk2Water, the next 3 notes will probably be familiar

Walk2Water had a recent ebay auction, I was the lucky winner of a few of his notes.

First up is a $1 CAD from 1973. The Obverse features a young Queen Elizabeth and the reverse of the note features the Parliament building from the Ottawa river. This was the last printing of the $1 note. The smallest Canadian note is now a $5
