Latest addition to my Musical Notes collection. Soghoman Soghomian aka Komitas memorialized on the Armenian 10,000 Dram  This is the second musical note from Armenia in my collection. Always enjoy your set of errors "BrokenCoin" There's always a big disparity between what one seller will charge compared to another. I love Filipino banknotes & found a seller who sold me some "UNC" solids (which I've posted here). Some of them were a bit handled & more like AU+ than UNC. But they were too cheap to complain about. Found another seller, who's items were a wee bit more expensive, but all the notes have been Choice to Gem UNC (& each note in individual holders) so probably WILL continue to buy from the 2nd seller moving forward. Nice Armenian 10,000 Dram "DaveL" Someone from CCF posted this Spanish 100 Peseta note earlier & I could not resist purchasing an inexpensive "Cousin" ( P69c) myself:   -Really dig the portrait of King Filipe on the reverse |

Love the classic design (& colour scheme) "CollegeBarbers." I can barely make out the round "10 Centavos" overprint.
Do you know why the central bank of Brazil had to make these?

Do you know why the central bank of Brazil had to make these? According to Wikipedia, the cruzeiro "was replaced in 1967 by the cruzeiro novo at a rate of 1000 cruzeiros = 1 cruzeiro novo" due to inflation. "In 1967, provisional issues were made consisting of "old" cruzeiro notes which were overstamped with the values 1, 5, 10 and 50 centavos, and 1, 5 and 10 cruzeiros novos." |
