@Earl42 -  Haha. AES- I have noticed in my short time as a collector that the clad Bicentennial Ikes tend to tone rather nicely into beautiful golden hues. They are lovely. Thanks for sharing. Yes, I am hooked. I've put together both Dansco and Intercept albums including all the the silver and proofs.

I am starting to think with my crazy luck you guys are not going to believe me soon. On a visit to Western PA I stopped in a branch of the bank I have an account with. I asked if they had large dollar coins and they proceeded to pull out several envelopes with a total of about $140 in Ikes. I bought $40 worth, but looked through all of them first to see if there was any silver, well well, there was a 1923 P Peace dollar in pretty good shape. I am not great at grading, but there is still a lot of detail on the coin, but also a bunch of gunk. Are there any suggestions on a very safe way to get that gunk off? I know these should not be cleaned, but is it worth letting it soak in hot water to see what might just fall off or dissolve? Edited by psus2h

100% Pure Acetone May Help remove the gunk and has no interaction with the metal of the coin. I Hope This Helps. P.S. Great Find Sometimes the luck runs in waves like that.....Enjoy The Ride Stewart Edited by stewart

I snagged these two last night as the weekly auctions at Great Collections were ending. These are not upgrades in number. They're upgrades in eye appeal- QA specimens from James Sego. I love having something to look forward to through the week. Color. I like it.   Edited by Darth Morgan

I retract my last statement about the 77 being a favorite, They are both amazing, even with just a hand held shot.
They must be incredible to see them in hand...Congratulations,Mr. Sego definitely sells some very choice specimens.
