Here are the 1st 4 from the 12 that came in today...
Nice batch.

I took these out of mint cellophane. Tell me how they get fingerprints while sealed in cello?
They look like scuff marks more than fingerprints. Still, not sure how they got there.

The second set of 4 from the lot.

Here come the '76ers.

Both Phiily coins are lightly toned gold.

Okay the '77s aren't so photogenic. Will definitely have to upgrade those 2.

Got a 1971-P today.

Here are the 1978s from the lot. These aren't too bad. Probably the best looking coins of the whole lot.

I think I got this more than 20 years ago. I don't have too many Ike's so this one used to be BEAUTIFUL. I don't know what happened to it.

Slabs are not air tight. Where did you keep it?

I don't recall keeping in a harsh condition. I have it stored in a Eagle Slab case. (although I might had it in my attic for few years) It gets extremely hot here in Southern California.

I suspect the attic is the culprit.

I will need to find the reference post, but supposedly whatever contamination is on these Ikes from the mint is activated by the heat. A lot of the 40% silver proof Ikes got that way because dealers kept them in the trunks of their cars carrying them from show to show.

Conder101 believes it is outgassing from the OGP materials. If this is the case, it would not apply to yours being in a TGP slab. This is why I suspect there is something on the Ike not seen until it is baked.

Well, I already have a 1978 in MS66, but I scored a second one for only $36. Not quite the same score that this fellow had. . . . .

. . . but I'm not complaining. I just threw a bid of $50 on it with 4 seconds left- when it was still at $28. I was surprised when it ended. I love getting quality Ikes for a good price, especially certified, high-grade gems. The rustic colors are an added bonus for me. I edited the sellers pics to adjust for haziness.
