Yes, indeed. This is typical of 1972-S business strikes due to them being shipped in tubes vs. 1000-coin canvas bags. It just so happens that I found one of these in my mailbox this afternoon. One more hole filled in Dansco #3.   |

By the way, how can you tell silver Ike from clad Ike if they are broken out of the case? They both look the same with "s" mint marks.  |

They both look the same with "s" mint marks. Very nice haul there!! Congrats on your 1st silver Ikes Take a look at the edge. I believe the clad Ike will have more copper showing. |

Yes, there will be copper showing on the edge of CuNi proof Ikes. @coconutjoe- I love that group shot of proof sets! I used to have around 30 or so, but I cracked some and sold the rest to buy certified Ikes. I may have to build a new hoard of proof sets (73-78). LOVE the Ike proof sets.

I think I will keep silver Ikes in their cases. I might crack some proof sets to make Ike group display. Also, I can give away some proof coins for kids. |
