That look like its in a slab, are you sure that is not a scratch on the slab itself?

If I have 10 complete sets with 16-D's, then I would sell a few set to start a gold Indian set in MS-63 and above high grade coins.

Edit: Carl, Don't tell me you have a few of those set already!?

I have no slabs at all. I've purchased some coins in slabs in the past and always keep those little rubberised washer looking things the coins sit on. I've found many uses for those. Sitting a coin on them while taking a photo or just changing from one Album to another keeps the coin from sitting on a table. All my coins go into Albums or 2x2's or those plastic rolls.

I've been hoping to get a 16d Merc to complete my set for only... about 50 years. Yea, I know that money could solve this. Seriously - congrats on having so many! Would putting it in a microwave help?

Dremel tool? Really? That's absurd! Just leave it alone. It's barely noticeable and is worth a lot because of its condition.

Unfortuately that is true. They sure were not worth much back then. Sure wish I knew then what I know now. Of course we all say that.
After all that I guess I'll just leave well enough alone. Amazing to think it was there all these years and I never noticed. Old age I guess.
