That's what I'm trying to find out enworb  I've tossed heaps back because I didn't think they were anything special but now I'm trying to find out as well

ok... I better provide pics! Working on it now.
The 2 I consider misstruck have no rim at all on one edge, and is bent on the other edge. I think the blank stayed outside the collar when the coin was stamped.

Thanks heaps OC. I think I've really stuffed up a few times  didn't think much of them but now I know and when I come across more I can now put pics up for confirmation

I found one like this last week and wasn't sure if it was big enough but if it is then looks like we're both onto a winner. Mine is dated 2000.

enworb, Now its your turn to post pics :) I just had a quick look on ebay and a fairly similar misstruck 5c sold for $37 at on 26 December.

Either MAD or off center, depending on whether it's on both sides.

I have gone through approx $2250 of 5c. Wow... just worked out that is 45,000 coins! I have only found 2 like this, so they are pretty rare

You have been through a lot of 5c coins! 2 from 45,000 is pretty rare. Not having much knowledge of error coins I nearly didnt bother keeping the one I found. On ebay I have seen some of the mistrikes in predecimals and theyre quite spectacular.
