Very nice. We all know how rough early coppers can be. This one is above most I have seen.

Looks to be a nice coin - maybe Delaner will chime in. I know he has several Fugios.
Best I can tell.. It's a cinquefoils, pointed rays. Perhaps Newman 8 obverse.
The reverse looks to be United Right, cinquefoils incuse. Not sure.. Maybe newman W for the reverse?
I'd go with Fine details as well. Great planchet with a couple of dark spots on the reverse possibly being corrosion?

Have only lurked until now, but have been inspired to chime in on seeing a Fugio I recognize as the same as my own -- Newman 9-p. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but the obverse has the high last S and the ornament between MIND and YOUR is over the right edge of the I in BUSINESS. The reverse has the diagnostic die break from ring 10 to the T in STATES (but not the break across rings 13 and 12 that occurs in the latest die state). I'm working from the 2008 Eric P. Newman book.

Sorry, meant the left edge of the I in BUSINESS, but I have a funny feeling you knew the die marriage already. As to grade, would agree with F, with regard to wear, but it's so unclear to me how much original strike and planchet quality figures into grade. Mine has much less wear than yours, but it drew a very bad lot in the ol' planchet lottery at James Jarvis' mill.

Nice Fugio! I see an original coin with no environmental damage or porosity. Usual planchet flaws which are minor to the type. I have to say, I would give this coin a low VF grade all considering.

The ANACS grader at the Baltimore show gave me a verbal grade of VF30 with corrosion. I guess NGC disregarded the corrosion and knocked it down in grade. I think it's a fair grade and am glad it is a problem free one.

I'm glad that's how NGC saw it too, no corrosion.

Neat to see the thread with my first post ever in it come back to life, and on such a high note! Congrats! Coincidentally, went to the Philly ANA Show yesterday and got a Feb 17, 1776 2/3 dollar continental currency bill to complement my own Newman 9-p Fugio https://goccf.com/t/109193 Will post some pics soon! Hey, how come they didn't even mention the die variety in the auction description? Isn't this one of the more uncommon die marriages?
