I see to start with that I posted in the wrong area. I should have gone down another link to the error part of modern coins, thought I was where I was supposed to be.....how do you spell "assume".....!? Here is the best, so far, pictures with my cell phone. Hopefully I can get a digital camera soon! Also in the description in my last post I forgot to add in : obverse, her eyebrow on some or multiple coins have more and less hair or scratches or whatever you would call it on one or both eyebrows...strange..

What in the picture do you believe is an error? The mark on her cheek is just a contact mark.

Guess I will have to wait until I get a good camera. All the errors I was talking about is in the previous post. There are a lot of interesting errors, cracks, and or varieties that just does not show up with these cell phone pictures. And yes that is probably a handling mark or something on her cheek as these coins came directly from the mint and I have just opened the rolls. Very carefully too. So any marks or scratches were done at the mint. Whenever I get a good camera I will re-post with pictures and descriptions. Thank you for the reply.

I had a couple of rolls showing a die chip progression on them. I found several examples and made a GIF image to show how it progressed. The coins I tossed back into the roll. Something interesting to look at, but not real collectable to me. The rest of the OBW rolls I would sell off and mention the die crack progression in the auction.

Coop I really like the way you did that. The alignment setup must have been interesting!

I left the orginal image and transfered the layers. Just seem the right thing to do with the 5 images.

Saw the GG artist initials on the coins and remembered something about it. Just found the story. So out of 760,000,000 coins only 5,000 had GG for the artist? I have three rolls and can't find the fourth, might have cashed them in..... All three rolls are the GG. The third roll had few if any errors like the first two. Sure wish I could post a good picture of the errors so I might know if I have something here!

Ment to say the third roll didn't have errors "unlike" the first two rolls that did have the errors.

ALL of the coins from 2000 to today have her initials on them.

Quote: So out of 760,000,000 coins only 5,000 had GG for the artist? Something got twisted somewhere. The winning artist (GG) was to be paid $5000. Being no dummy*, she said she wanted paid in the coins. Seeing a chance for publicity, the mint agreed, burnished 5000 coins and had a special presentation ceremony. *She promptly headed over to NGC, paid the bulk rate and had them slobbed. I have one, a strike-thru that proves they were burnished after striking, and the first Sac error found.

biggfredd: Do you stilll have it or pictures of it? It would be interesting to compare yours to mine to see if some of them are close or the same. I am still having problems telling burnished from unburnished....among other things...heh..heh.. :)

You're right, it was IGC, I found the original slab after posting.
