Man, another absolute BEAUTY!

I'm going with PR-63.

(I have to admit to just a hint of jealousy!)

A 3-drooler for SURE!

I really don't see many distractions. Combine that with the TPG, I'll say they went a little higher. I'll throw my hat in with PR65... Absolutely Beautiful Piece of History!

The more I look at this ( and I keep going back to the photos and drooling) the more I think PR64 is low. I don't see anything distracting on this coin. I'm going to upgrade my guess to PR65.

Absolutely fantastic coin!

Of the four I sent in this one was a true disappointment.

How was the surface altered? It is easily above 60 but I guess they only list "problem" mint state at 60.

In the in-slab pictures I see a bit of a halo around the devices which makes me think it's been buffed up a bit.

"Altered Surfaces"? What exactly is meant by that?

It is shiny, but that's no crime!

I heartily recommend a break-out & a resubmit!

There is a huge difference in appearance between the images first posted and the images of the coin in the slab. I really need to learn how to image coins.

Have you called to find out what ANACS said altered the surface of the coin? Sometimes they will tell you.
If there are no hairlines from cleaning, polishing, etc., crack it out and send it to another TPG.

That is a bummer to see that coin in a problem slab.
I do agree with captian that the halo around of the stars may have been one of the reasons for their decision.
