Where from and how much did those capsules + square holder cost you? If only I could get my brain to keep coins like 2011 taxation etc.

I think those square ones look the best as well. I might have to get myself some of those. Proofs would look good in them.

Nice collection!

I got them in lismore the other day but I've been looking on the net for somewhere to get a bulk buy as they're all lighthouse and I got 1 pack of(10each pack)29 & 32mm round $6.60ea, square 29 & 32mm 9.45ea and I also got 27.5, 30 & 35mm 2x2 staple (25pack) about $3.35 ea but I did spend $345 so that's why I've been looking elsewhere..all about saving these days

If anyone know where I can do a bulk order please yell out

And if I got the round again I'd get the next size up from 32mm as the 50's don't quite fit..but all in all I'm pretty happy with what I've got done and how it's looking. Just need a HEAP more holders

Couldn't tell whether any of those Millennium 50's are incused?

As for the Rams head, that's looking like it's in great condition.

I also like 66's, especially ones in capsules.

Those square holders definitely are nice.

I use anything I have handy at the time, thinking seriously about getting a heap of saflips so I can heat seal them & they will stack perfectly in some special boxes I have.

Hi AusJack,

You could try http://www.renniks.com/home.aspx
They are the supplier so they should do bulk. Can't hurt to give them a call.

Cheers

Round capsules and those square hard plastic holders are attractive enough but the real problem with them is that they are a mongrel to store. Heat sealed saflips in poly propylene 2x2 album pages work nicely for me.

Slightly off topic question. Sorry
Markn,
Your right about storage of the hard cases, but a question I have is does the movement of the coin in the sealed 2x2 cause the coin to rub/wear?

Currently I'm using the Renniks 2x2 cardboard flip in album as storage for my good coins.
What would be nice is if we had a hard 2x2 like the lighthouse one but thin enough to still fit in albums.

Cheers
Peter

To be honest they hardly move around at all. The bigger coins are held pretty tightly by the SAFLIP especially once it is heat sealed. Smaller coins just don't have the mass to overcome the friction between the coin and the SAFLIP. Medium sized coins (think shillings) will move around if you tap the holder. But 99.9% of the time my coins are in coin pages which provide an extra level of pressure to keep the coins still. And those folders are sitting in a safe most of the time and not moving about.

I'd certainly be a lot more concerned about coins moving around in ill fitting capsules. Even Eagle mounts (one of the most respected coin holders there are) allow coins to move around in them.

With markin
I very much doubt that a bit Mylar or cardboard will harm a coin

I did a clean out a few months ago. As I said back then, it makes you realise how much you have learnt in the process and how much CRAP you store thinking that it is good! Imagine if we were limited to the number of coins that we were able to keep!
