Very nice. All of my gold is modern but I plan on getting some for my collection soon. I think I may start with one of these too, thanks so much for sharing.

A very nice indian. I will say that it sure looks like some type surface damage at 10:00 and 2:00 (especially on the reverse). Is the coin indented at those locations?

no, I see minor surface damage.. but coin is flat, no dents. looks shinny.. wonder if it was polished? I've never had a gold coin so I dont know if its polished or luster

My favorite gold coins also! In fact my first gold coin is also 1925 $2.50 Indian Gold! They are sweet enjoy!

That's a beauty for a first gold coin. Congratulations. I know what you mean about breaking it out of the holder so you could feel the gold in your hand. I did exactly the same thing with my first.
