I grade this G, and definately suspicious! Too much junk around the 3.

Looks suspicious to me as well. The 1 does not line up where it should with the denticles and the 3 just looks bad. G-6 to me if authentic, but highly doubt it.

Here's an example of an NGC G-4 coming up on Heritage next month. I think the posted example is G-6. Just hope the XF doesn't stand for Xtremely Fake.

I don't think there is a chance, that the coin is actually authentic.

Seems like a genuine Morgan dollar BUT... unfortunately... it is neither XF nor an 1893.

Best guess is this is an 1898-S, relatively common, with a date that was chiseled out to look like a 3. Condition is G-6 damaged.

Aside from looking like silver solder, I can't imagine any coin with tooling around the date or mm would ever qualify for slobbing. Then again, they'll slob dateless coins based on other diagnostics, so who knows?
