Look at as many of these Larissa horse coins (bronze and silver) as possible and note the various foot positions and the way some show the horse shifting its weight to the back. It was pointed out to me by a horse loving friend that the series shows the sequential steps in a horse rolling down to the ground from a standing position. If that were intentional I would have thought there would be one with it on the ground but it is true that some of the poses show stable footing and some do seem to be starting to roll down.

Interesting footnote on these coins! I have seen a few coins described as "about to roll".

Oh nice, I asked because image of nymph on first coin is very different than one on second coin. When I saw second coin first thing that came to my mind was Medusa.

Nice AEs of Larissa--I have been looking for one myself.
Larissa has a more pleasant appearance than Medusa--she doesn't scowl. Here are a few examples.
Interesting that Larissa's hair is tied back on side portraits, and loose on frontal portraits.
Lenikas, I haven't seen Larissa depicted wearing a helmet--do you suppose that's Athena?
Athena and the reverse inscription--ΘEΣ--matches coins minted in Thessalonica, such as this coin:
