Send it to PCGS but call them first and explain your situation. They will either remove the spots if possible or award you the value difference (in their determination) between the current grade and the downgrade or buy the coin from you.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
BH I did talk to them and thats what they said, I personally love that style coin and not sure I would want to part with it if they wanted to buy it. Do you happen to know what they use to determine the value if they downgrade it? If they are only going to pay a small amount for the downgrade I would rather just keep it untouched.

If they are truly milk spots they will not be able to remove them. If you had just waited and let them "run their course" they always seem to get worse so the best thing was to send it to the grading company.
I have done this a few times with NGC and they have either replaced the coin with one of the same grade or offered to buy it back from me at the going market price. I hope PCGS is on the same page as NGC.

I say return it, since the spots will only get worse over time. A coin's grade can't improve over time, but just get worse.

If they gave me the current different on a downgrade I would be perfectly fine with that. I know the poster above mentioned sometimes they swap coins but considering the coin I do not think that would be an option here.
My concern would be if they downgraded it and then said the difference was only 50 dollars or some low ball number like that.
If someone could tell me how to upload a pic I just got a way to get pictures of it on my comp so I could show what the coin looks like

When NGC couldn't find a replacement for my spotted 20th Annie Proof it asked ME what I wanted for the coin. I told them what the last few sold for on bay and they had no issue with giving me the average price of the three.

Theres just a little spot above the 0 in the 1 oz and some slight coloring around the edges. Nothing huge but not exactly 100 percent perfect either

I have always found that imaging the spots was not an easy task. That said that one little spot and small rim blob will soon become this:

I see that spot above the O in OZ. Is that the spot in question, Basebal?

argentum yes thats the spot in question. There is one other spot on there but at the moment unless you are really inspecting it close someone has to tell you its there before you will see it.
Foxwoods about how long does it take to get that bad? I certainly dont want to have it get to that point but I do really love the coin
