Hmmm, I don't know about the price $360 is a real stretch for a 1/10th OZ gold coin.
I would like one but not paying that much for it.
Last year was only $265+ $10 post And I just recently picked one up on ebay under release so there is nooooooooooooo way I am paying retail on this puppy.

Odds of striking the ballot are pretty good at the moment I would say with a 2500 mintage, and the current premium price (about $100 over what it should be).

Probably the one thing in its favour, is that at least this coin would be in more demand than one of the Chinese "year of whatever" coins.

Other than that, stick to ebay, where you will no doubt be able to pick these up for less than issue price delivered.

I think this was drawn today.
When would the mint send out notification to people who were selected ?

I'd give it a couple of weeks, you might get an email but you might just realise you are successful when you see the charge on your credit card.

We decided not to enter ballot mainly because of the cost and not a collectible coin just a coin oppertunity for some ebay sellers to try and make profit by resale

I'll keep an eye out on the c/c balance then :)
There is a part of me that wants it, and a part of me that doesn't(my wallet)
Will take it as it comes.

Maybe the RAM expected gold to go up with the economy looking so lack-lustre. But gold & silver are starting to drop again. Is it them forecasting or just "clearly" overpricing?

This is the first ballot in quite a few years that I've decided not to go in.

Interesting to see if the mint gets a full order
What put us off was not only the expense but we don't trust the ballot system where in the past certain people "won" a lot and immediate sale on the ebay

I got an Email today advising that I was successful in the ballot.

"After a final eligibility check, we will be processing your order and dispatching the coins as quickly as possible. This will take place over the next 10 working days"

A few on ebay already. First one sold for $345. Under release price.
One due to finish shortly, still at $350.

Both that have sold now on ebay have gone for under the $360 issue price (not counting postage for buyer, but seller loses out with fees also).
Rest in Peace

Unless the mint's sold out, why would anyone expect to get a premium on ebay?

Most ballot winners agenda was to resell for a profit we think.
There will be a flood of these on the online auction sites in the coming weeks
Nice coin but realistically $80 is all we'd pay for it
