I always buy 90%. It's easy to find, and it seems to spike in value a lot. And then there's the fact that 90% silver is COINS. Not bars, not rounds, coins. I'm a coin collector, not a silver collector!

Pre 64 coins for me. Love the different denominations and the history behind then.

NOTA. 80/20 silver Canadian coins. Cheaper (in real terms), easier to get.

I like the Libertads because I get them just about anywhere and they are beautiful. Plus...did you know that down here you can walk into any bank in the country and buy and sell them for an incredibly low spread? Talk about liquidity. Then, if you have the time, you can hawk em on ebay and get a few bucks more than you paid for them, even if you just bought em from the bank!....but those fees are a major downer, so...you just walk into the bank, no fuss, no whining, no feedback scores, no waiting, just quick cold hard cash...if that's what you need. Can't beat that.

I'm a hundred percent for 90% , because this covers everything from Carson City Morgans to junk silver found in circulation.

Quote: There's lots of great silver out there. Half the fun is enjoying the wide selection!
End of the day, though? Push comes to TSHTF? I'll take ASEs and never regret it for a second!
Hear, hear! I'm with you CW. Many great choices out there but the ASEs gotta have a slight edge over the SMLs. Both are great, though. Also really like the Morgans in XF or better condition.

Holy cow, Trip! If I was to see that gas station sign while driving, I would probably lock all 4 wheels and put the family van up on 2 wheels getting into that place!

Not concerned with pinching pennies, Yotie. It would be worth the trip just to meet someone who KNOWS what REAL money is and is accepting it in exchange for goods.

I could not vote. If you are going to buy silver, it has to be poured silver bars. They carry the least amount of premium per ounce.
