He posted a few comments on both of them when I originally posted them; he hasn't examined either in-hand. The second is a (probable) split die with central die subsidence. I've found examples from both dies in the Heritage archives, and there's one from the same die on eBay. |

MS examples from that die have sold on Heritage for $115-160, so it's probably a little high for AU, but not completely insane. Examples of the other one (and some similar shattered dies) have gone for twice that. I've turned down a couple offers on mine.
