Pretty impressive, some of those coins look better than others.
Not a chance though I would ever spend that kind of money on something unslabbed

I know its an expensive set, but for raw coins and with how some of those look that seems expensive to me. He can put his stickers for what he thinks the grade is all day long doesn't mean I would pay that grades price for each coin. Even if they were TPG grades as soon as he cracked them out their no guarantee any of those would get that grade if sent in again. I may have missed it, but didnt even see a Hawaii in the group |

I don;t think I would buy this. Grades and appearance are way to inconsistent. For that money I would rather build my own set.

Agreed ... I did build my own set ... at least a 50-coin type set.  I spent a few moments and viewed the set ... IMHO most of the coins are AU55 - MS63 or so ... the key coins are there ... I'm betting that the reserve price for this mis-matched set is on the order of $25K. Buyer beware ... you can get a full set ... but not a single coin is truly noteworthy IMHO. David |

I havent done the math but off the top of my head with those coins 10k has to be pretty close to a profit unless he really did buy them all at those grades and break them all out for some reason

Pretty interesting to see all of them together like that. Quite a few of them are quite ugly though. The price is over $11k and still the reserve hasn't been met.

Ok this one caught my eye and did some quick math on some of the keys. I think the grades are pretty close and as long as they are original the Lafayette and Isabella are about $500 each. The Hawaiian is $2600 and that's whole sale bid. 3 coins out of 144 and your already 1/3 of the way to that price. Or say $100 for each coin which would be easy to get even if they were cleaned (with a few exceptions) would get you over $14k. I think you could make some serious coin on the flip. |

Oh One more thing, there is actually Over 150 Coins in this set. He has some of the extra holes filled.

This "set" is a very impressive gathering of the Older commemoratives, as stated prior, if not for the pictures of them together alone............

I've bought two large dealer lots from these guys. They will contact the highest bidder if the reserve is not met and negotiate from there... The first lot I bought had been cherry picked like crazy, but they more than made it up to me with the second lot. Those two lots(and one other) were my base stock for really getting into the collecting hobby/OBSESSION!...  |
