I think for $10 you have to keep ones like that. Yours is made better because there's another 7 in the year.

Hi, I've been trying to avoid note collecting because of the cost, but this $10 caught my eye yesterday. Just eleven off being a solid. The bads news is that I am instantly hooked now on looking for special numbers ...

And I know this $5 isn't call a radar or repeater, but can't think of the correct term. Can someone please let me know?

Thanks, Mandy

Prepare to be frustrated, entranced, obsessed, and more. It's great fun though!

Here's one for you Enworb, from my latest $1,500 of $5's. I know how much you like the number 5! I'll PM you.

awildeheart; I'm not sure what you'd call that. If it was 505505 or 696696 it would be a radar repeater, but on its own...I can't tell you. Maybe a semi-radar? Nope...just a serial number (maybe an interesting serial to some?)

Another solid just missed...

Just wondering, do NPA keep solids aside when they're printed, to be passed on to favoured dealers? Is it still possible to find a solid in circulation?

I think they might because most of those I have seen have been offered through the big auction houses at one point. I did see a circulated $10 on ebay a while ago that was solid. I think it fetched around $150 but cant quite remember. I suppose that goes to show there is a small possibility of finding one in circulation although I would hazard a guess that it is very very very small.
