Kinda like the world's most expensive loaf of bread.

Lol, Barry. Yeah, it does look like a loaf of bread. Reminded me that I needed to bake another loaf soon. Nice addition to your MASSIVE silver hoard!

Let's hope one bar is male and the other is female.

This is my first bigger bullion,
got it 2 weeks ago,
I think this maybe a descendant of your bars as matthey garrett, became johnson matthey in 1981,
anyone know how old this bar is?
I received it last week, only to find the original owner of it passed that day(he regarded silver to be very precious and more so in the future)
Either way this bar will never leave my hands until the day I pass, and it's passed to my daughter.

That is a beautiful kilo, they are so much easier to trade or sell then the 100's.

Thanks mate,
It does need a clean, as it's at least 31 years old, but I will wait to do that, as after speaking with the care taker of the original owner of this, there is too much history and spirit in this bar for me to rub away.
She could'nt belevie how much the original owner and i, were alike in so many ways.
It's going to be hard to find another bullion no matter how big or rare is it that will have as much meaning as this, I wont ever trade or sell no matter how dire thinks get :)

Thank-you for the comment Throwbackid

I think what he means is 100 ounce range from 2700-3200 this year, 1 kg is just over 1/3 the size and go for 900-1050
If silver is too boom lets say to 60 oz you will be very happy but if wanting to sell not many people would have a spare 5500-6000 to throw around, with hyper inflation about to blow, most struggle to buy 10 oz at $310.

Stunning bars never the less

Gotcha. That's actually the reason why I focused on getting a few monster boxes of 1-ounce silver coins before starting to collect the bars -- I figured it would be easier to sell off individual coins if necessary. Right now, though, I'm just looking for long-term investment with the lowest up-front premium, and I was able to get both of my 100-ounce bars at just $0.59/ounce over spot. The few kilo bars I have seen available seem to sell for $2-3 per ounce over spot.

I'm the same mate, 1 ounce and 10s at the moment, I set my rule before buying , I am happy to pay $33 a ounce as thats what it was the day I started(im in it for 5-8 years minium, if looking to try make profit at some point)

i accpet silver could go as low as $16-18(dont think so but always think of pro's and con's) and as high as 65, but dont mind if it drops for a bit as it will take my total amount of silver buying price down when adding more.

I read a article on silver and how "when you hold the weight in your hand, you become hooked"
I'm hooked for sure, as with polymers I said i'll never enjoy it, then found a $20 PE94, not I check every note I pass, get, or anyone around me has, lol

That bar cost me $940 Australian when market was at 28.50's, was 30$ for postage, its the first item I got for under spot I think? didn't do math on it 1kg= 35 1/4 oz.

Regardless I work 2 jobs, I waste money from time to time, at least silver is always worth something and is nicer to look at then notes,

If you enjoy it,then it wont matter about a little 1.5%-10% premium, if you like a item you'll pay the price

I just bought 10x 1oz silver bullmarket 2011 coins sealed cost $350 posted .$35 a oz that is around 25% ontop but look at it this way,
To buy 1 coin most are charging 35-42 for 1 coin plus 4.95 postage up to %40 on top.

I won the $350 by gambling on a Bull slot machine, so in Hinze sight they are a bonus!

If you want certain things its better to have a small group buying same item to get a little off.
