@ Silverhawk. Agree with you to a point. I find you can find deals as low as 2xface but watch it go for 3xface....and that's just for dimes. As the face value increases the higher premiums that go with them it seems. But just like silver in general, when you're dealing with the fractional 90 or 80%... quantity sells better unless you have something of numi value. I like junk silver...but like you said, I will trade most of it in at the right time for .9999 bullion. Cheers!

Yes I agree 100% Samsnate!

In the end what we all seek is knowledge of price....

There is a member here with a great name, one of my favs "I am price"

Whats that mean, they understand the value of things. And THAT is the key to success in this PM field, understanding what something is worth and what one will pay later, figuring in short positions or long, depending on your own particular situation. That and some luck and good timing, lol....

In the top line of your posts Samsante, you will see three paper icons and the one to the far right (3rd over from left with pencil over it) is the icon you want to click on to edit your posts and you can only do it within the first 24 hours of the original post....

I don't know how to quote in grey, as many of you do and I never asked or cared. BF used to give me a hard time about it, but I just use quotes old school style, even though it is more confusing to do so.....

I use a local scrap buyer, they have some nice coins sometimes or else I buy a bag of scrap at spot and stash it away.

30 dollars is a pretty good deal for ASE. I usually buy them at the local shop if they have them for a good price sometimes the price can be a little high and they dont always have as many as I want, sometimes they wont have any. I know I can always buy them from Provident or APMEX. and I always look on my phone in the parking lot of the local store so I know what I am willing to pay before I go in.

They are $34 each right now (spot at $27.56) at my local store. If someone knows of an online source that sells below that shipped for 2-5 at a time, please let me know.

At the moment, three ASE's including shipping from Provident Metals will run you $32.32 each for a total of $96.94.

Remember, the trick to finding good deals from the major online dealers is to watch the shipping costs.

Goldmart has them usually has them for the cheapest but does charge $8.95 for shipping on small orders.

So $30.20 * 3 $90.60 + $8.95 shipping is $98.55 shipped

Always check goldmart

APMEX has them right now for $2.99 over spot, so at the moment that's $30.61

Not for us Canadians. You have to pay extra shipping charges and you don't get to use a credit card either. I just avoid them.

APMEX is never the cheapest with that shipping fee of $19.99, even for 5 SAE is ridiculous.

True. But if one buys in bulk, their discounts for quantity purchases can make them very competitive. Same for Provident.

I usually buy from either APMEX or Provident, whichever has the best deal at the time. I have also bought a few from local shops but they very often do not have very many in stock. They are reselling ASEs and Maples that they buy from individuals, not ordering monster boxes and selling them individually or in tubes.
