To me there is not enough holes for the commemoratives, I am lamenting a decision I made today. I stopped by a pawn shop on the way home and they had a nice selection of commemoratives more so then the coin store in fact. I had enough money for one commemorative dollar around $35 and they had 4 commemorative dollars to choose from. An Ellis Island, a Community Service, a World War II 50th anniversary and a Constitution 200th anniversary. The Ellis and the Community Service were the cheapest at $30, the constitution was my favorite at $35 and the World War II was a two set piece with the half dollar as well for $40. I could have easily run home and grabbed another $5 and got the World War II set and finished my commemorative halves and dollars in one foul swoop (I already have 3 commemorative halves spots filled a columbian, a Washington 250th Anniversary and a Liberty Ellis Island half) but I really wanted to do the set for now as two modern and two early commemorative halves, I even picked out the second of the two earlies I wanted either a Lexington or a Stone Mountain.
So I went with my favorite coin of the bunch the constitution but now I am sitting here thinking man I wish I had gone for that World War II set as I could have gotten a second commemorative for just $5. Problem is I want to get an Eagle or an amazing AU-BU Standing Liberty quarter next )I should have enough money in a week and half when I buy my next coin to spend $100 on a nice Standing Liberty). But that darn commemorative half set is going to tempt the heck out of me now I could easily just get an Eagle and that set instead of a nice SLQ or those two coins instead of a really nice Lexington or Stone Mountain or even a really nice one of those and an Eagle arghhhhh
Not enough spots in that set I really want my 4th coin to be an early commemorative but I really want that set too ahhhhhhhhhhh
