Right. Vespasian coins are some of the few that have that type of legend. Perhaps others know of more.

... thanks Gil-galad (ummm, things weren't always this good ... but while I have a wee bit of extra cash, I'm gonna burn like a comet!!)

Ummm, if my world happens to go ass-over-teakettle, then maybe you'll be able to buy-up all of these babies, cheap!!? (what comes around, goes around) ...

=> I'm merely the owner of these coins for "today"

Don't tempt me, I'd love to have some of those coins. lol

Although, we'd rather have you here and doing all these fun things. Like posting coins, making jokes, designing excellent contests, etc.

Thanks man => that was nice ...

Huh => the inverted legend really throws me for a loop ... because it is different, I think it is very cool, but I am not a true fan (I like the typical/standard legend printing much better!!)

I don't think Vespasian would have liked Beyonce, he seems to be too grumpy.

At least the artwork of the portrait looks to be brutally honest. (Vespasian's, that is.)

Retrograde lettering is reasonably common on the coins of Vespasian, but I don't think that would bother Beyonce.

sel_69l => that's awesome ... funny, because I took the opposite stance ...

=> I figured that Beyonce would "diss" Vespasian and that she would probably get a few horny Brutuses (Bruti?) to stab the crusty old dude in the back ... I didn't think that Vespasian would be wearing the pants/toga in the family!!?
