Vespasian and the Eagle => cool looking coin ... Vespasian AR-Denarius(69-79 AD) - Rome 76 AD Weight: 3.4 grams Obverse: Laureate head right, IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG Reverse: eagle standing facing on garlanded base, hd. l., COS VIII Reference: S-2287 Other: Good Fine with full legends => so this is the last of the "4" coins that I bought when I fell off of the Wagon (The Elephant, The Camel, The Crocodile and last but not least The Eagle) ... NOTE => I don't have the coin "in-hand" yet, so I am a bit unsure whether the blueish hue is merely a suspect photo, or whether the coin actually has a blue hue? (I will try to post addition home-photos once it arrives)Phew => so now I have nothing to post ... and I am definitely going to hold-off for a couple/few weeks before I go coin hunting once again (ummm, or until I go coin "purchasing" ... I can still go coin hunting, right? ... I just won't pull the trigger for a while) ... thanks for all of the coin comments and critiques ... I always appreciate your opinions!! Very nice coin. See what more money can do? lol
I don't have a Vespasian just yet, but will in the future.

I think that this coin is quite interesting, because it has the writing "inverted" ... I'm not sure if many coins followed this same style, or whether I'm on drugs and I am looking at the coin incorrectly? ... but usually the legend-writing is facing the other direction, correct?

Right. Vespasian coins are some of the few that have that type of legend. Perhaps others know of more.

Don't tempt me, I'd love to have some of those coins. lol
Although, we'd rather have you here and doing all these fun things. Like posting coins, making jokes, designing excellent contests, etc.

Thanks man => that was nice ... Huh => the inverted legend really throws me for a loop ... because it is different, I think it is very cool, but I am not a true fan (I like the typical/standard legend printing much better!!)
