On occasion, I've written to sellers about similar souvenir items. The response, if I receive one, typically boils down to a question of the seller either being or acting ignorant. On occasion, I've received kindly responses for taking the time and making a well-intentioned effort to save the seller and potential buyer some grief. Sadly, such pleasant occasions have been few.

In the long run, I've come to the conclusion that most folks tend to better learn the "hard" way. Whether it's coins or some other topic, there seems to be a tendency, nowadays, on the part many folks, to "kill" the messenger. People far prefer to listen to people who tell them what they want to hear, want to believe. While I'm rarely too shy to tender an opinion, I'm increasingly of the mindset that, "Who am I to want to deny a person of a valuable (costly though it may be) learning experience?"
