Yes that Lincoln resource page I think it's called was where I compared the one I had found and the one on there website and it was exactly the same that's what made me go to my local coin store here in vegas and have them look at it.. If its not a true form of a doubled die then the website should update there info and the associate at the coin store should try working in a different field I would say expertise but if he's wrong as well then expert he is not.. I'm still a complete rookie at all of this and sorry if I wasted your guy's time Again. I got excited cause every detail photographed on the website is dang near exact on my penny. Here's a closer pic of it let me know if I need to zoom even more its tough on my phone

This prob doesn't help much either but I cant zoom with my phone anymore without it completely blurring it out. My wife has a nice digital camera at home ill take a better one tonight and use her computer so I can also post pics of the reverse side at the same time

I am not sure how they take their pics. I use a usb microscope when I take close-up pics. I also use a point and shoot set to macro with no flash. John1

Oh very cool thank you ill have to look into getting new things to make it easier to provide better quality photos.. What kind of lighting is best for viewing coins? Fluorescent, led, halogen I'm currently building a little work table to keep and sort through my coins if I leave my stuff out on the dinning room table any longer my wife might get rid of it all lol

Quote: Miss aligned die... Makes sense it's all good I will find a true double die someday :) You are misunderstanding...coppertop was saying that is a good indicator that it is the doubled die...which is true...but we still need better pics to say with 100% certainty

Yeah...don't toss it until we see it well enough to say for sure. The 1980 DDO is worth a few bucks.
