this is a roll search find. the designers initials are completely missing. there is some noticable polishing marks in the area. I presume somone got a bit aggressive polishing out that area. just a fun find on my end.

Those are found frequently in various stages of initial weakness due to polishing. A better find is the 1988 RDV 006.

The best "no FG" Lincoln to find is the 1969 D, but that is a nice one! Dates other than 1969D should fetch $1 or $2 on ebay, if you get the right person.

how would one identify the "88" RDV006, if the designers initial are missing. I thought the intitals were the key to that variety?

I'm not sure it would matter since the key feature of the variety would be missing anyway.
