I cannot imagine this received anything less than MS65FH. Very nice!

MS 67 FH: I feel like this is too high, and if I am wrong please correct me. I see a big hit on the robe that covers her right arm, a hit on the robe that covers the shield and a smaller but noticeable hit on the robe that covers her upper left thigh. While I am not comfortable placing a grade once these hit the MS range, I can say I would not pay MS67 FH cost for it if I had the dollars. Now, knowing what the grade was, do you agree with it? Thanks! (This was on an auction last night and did not sell).

I was in at MS66 FH but compared to some of the coins on the PCGS registry site I can see how this is MS67. It is my experience that NGC rates a little higher so this does not surprise me. Not sure if it would cross over to PCGS as a MS67. Good candidate to send to CAC. Great coin. Some day I hope to start a FH collection of my own.

send to CAC, they will tell you if they feel its at the high end of a MS67 grade or doesn't meet their criteria

Quote: send to CAC, they will tell you if they feel its at the high end of a MS67 grade or doesn't meet their criteria It's not mine to send - and I find the CCF opinions much more helpful and educational! (Not sure if I would ever something to CAC since I tend to want to free my shiny bits of fun )

That thing is VERY well struck! I think it's more in line with MS66 FH with a very sharp strike.

Regardless of grade, the quality of the strike is better than at least 90% of the FH SLQs you see.

She is a wonderful example of the Type I Standing Liberty and would be a definite "stand-out" in just about any collection! The detail in the head, right hand, olive branch, just really sharp overall!

I haven't seen another close up pic of a MS67 to compare it but thats a monster looking SLQ. I have seen a MS65 and MS66 before and that one looks better......

It is amazing how much I learn from the forum. Your comments on why it makes sense for it to be a MS67 have helped me appreciate the series even more than before. I hope there are additional comments to come.
Thanks everyone!

This coin's reverse is out of this world. I had some concerns about the obverse, but they've been laid to rest, now the NGC's grading has been revealed.
Whew! Dodged a bullet, I did! :-)

Incredible coin. Excellent strike. I would buy that if I was looking at SLQ's.

I can see this coin in that holder, the strike is substantially better than many. The photos leave a bit to be desired the exposure is a bit hot and gives the coin a washed out feeling to it. In hand I'd bet it's a lot better looking.
