I guess it all depends on how many they produce...

I have a weird feeling that the 2007 sets, and the Montana quarter are going to do something. Just a weird feeling. I want to purchase a silver and clad set, and a BU example of each State Quarter for this year. Just me. My Two Cents.

Any word on how they'll be packaged? All 15 coins (did I count right?) in 1 set?

I sure can't give advice on what to buy or what value will be - can only opine to "buy what you like!" I've just always been fascinated by what I perceive as the beauty of coins. As far as the 2007 proof set, according to US Mint website there are 14 coins total, and release is scheduled for "May/June."

Hello Everyone,

I checked the US Mint website and We are going to have to wait until late May early June for this year's Proof Set.

Why do we have to wait that LONG?

I would assume the reason for the delay is packaging problems. I know that the US Mint wanted a proof set case that would permit the viewing of the edge lettering.

Does anyone know if the 2007 Sacagawea dollars will be included in the proof set? If not will they make a proof Sacagawea dollar at all?

I am sure that the 2007 Sacagawea dollars will be included in the proof sets. What they do with the Presidential dollars is of no concern, as I could care less.

Well I care because I would love to have the Presidental Dollar coins in Proof. I prefer to buy the coins in one set instead of separately but if that's the case I will make do.

JUST SAY NO TO PREZ DOLLARS! LOL! Already enough prezzies on our coins. Let's just say our coins are saturated prezzies!

14 coins in the 2007 proof set.

cent
nickel
dime
5 State Quarters
half dollar
5 Dollar coins

The delay is due to the problems in San Francisco with the edge lettering on the Prez. Dollars.

The 2009 set will be just as large or larger. It will contain the 4 lincoln cents and maybe the 6 territory quarters.

Ah yes, now I remember that! The proof edge lettering is going to be applied with the collar, not a separate edge press. That is the reason why the the edge lettering on the proofs will be oriented in one direction on all of the coins.

The proof sets and uncirculated coin sets are always to have all the circulated coins in them that were minted for that year.

I usually bust mint sets open so I may sell the prez dollars.
