My sheet did have 1 coin that have 1 noticiable spot and one coin with one spot that you could hardly see. |

lostwords: nope, I know milkspots when I see them, dealt with hundreds of maples and all these 2006 maples are in perfect shape! paid just under 31$/oz when silver was at 34$ and thought it was amazing, but now silver is under 29$ so I took a loss... so far, lets see how big I can get my stack! I hope I get a call today as I find out if I get the job! I am leaving it AS IS, still all sealed together from the mint, maybe in a few years i'll decided to sell for a little more premium than it's worth now! you never know!

Jealous! Almost all my sheeted maples had milk spots and it's going to take me a long time to remove them. I wonder if the various 'frosted finish' Maples have the problem, so I'm planning on buying a few to find out for myself.

Leaving them sealed as they came is the best choice. You can always do something else later on, but if you do it now you can't undo it.

thanks! the seller has a bunch left, offered me them at 332$ / 10 ounces. (ran into a little problem where my package didn't shop up and had to deal with Canada post) any ways him and I became good friends and he offered me 10 ounces at 32$ ea. with shipping.
shipping is 15$ for 1
shipping is 16$ for 2
shipping is 17$ for 3
thinking I might grab 30 more ounces. that would make it 33.7$/ounce!

I thought you said that it was $32 with shipping......did you mean plus shipping?

I took all my maple leafs out of the sheets, as I couldn't stand the milk spots. I've been cleaning them in batches, maybe I'll post a few pics with before/after shots for some of them soon.

well, I think, you leave them AS IS. because should you decide to sell them off or need to.... someone out there will want them that way and it should add to the value... after all, aren't collectors ,, in some ways, picky, even when it comes down to presentation and how its packaged? I know I am!

Reselling maple leafs is easy regardless, they're "just bullion" after all so for me this is just a matter of option/preference, not right/wrong. I was content to leave mine in sheets until I saw all the milk spots. I hated to remove them from the sheets because, A) I have so many it was a real pain to remove them all, B) I have so many that it's currently taking me what seems like forever to get the milk spots off of them. C) I do realize that's a good problem to have :) I just hated the milkspots more than taking the coins out of the sheets, so I didn't struggle with making the decision to remove them. I wouldn't need/want to resell my maples anytime soon, thankfully. For every potential buyer who would turn them down for not being in sheets (with obvious spots) there is someone else who would prefer buying their maples spot free out of sheets if all else was equal. Newer ones (post 2009) don't even come in sheets to begin with, at least not that I can find. On a related topic, looking back I probably would have left my gold pandas in sheets, but I put them in airtites and I enjoy them more that way. If I buy some 2013 silver pandas in bulk, I'll definitely be leaving them in the sheets as long as they're milk spot free. Forgive the longwinded response . . .

I say leave them. When you go to sell decide then. Once you cut you can't go back. I just picked up 25 proof sets from early 60's for junk silver prices. I'm not cutting them up until I see what happens.
