After looking at the "store" the first thing that comes to my mind is one of those flea market booth stores that buy for 5 cent on the dollar and sell at market rates. It's the only logical solution I can imagine.  |

hey, it could be 3 grades worse..this seller has a lot of fairly lower value coins that somebody has sent in to be graded

For a 'lowball' registry set. There are such collectors that look for the lowest grade possible for registry sets on the opposite end of the grading scale. Believe it or not, it is much, much more difficult than assembling a high grade registry set.

Keep it as a pocket piece for a few years before you send it in for a lowball set.

I'm sure there are plenty of P001 War Nickels out there for lowball sets so I don't understand why someone would pay good money to slab a G4. Now find a P001 State Quarter or Ike dollar and that would create a lowball ebay frenzy! |

I have a couple rolls that could make a lowball set. Just need to spend a bunch to have them graded.

Just maybe someone thought it was a rare raw coin, but doesn't it have to go through a coin dealer first with ngc? I think it has to be with PCGS right? Someone slipped up here.

No, it doesn't have to go through a dealer first with Ngc but you have to pay to join. I did in order to send some coins in.
