That is AWESOME! That is the same year cent that I have that my dad gave me as a small sliver of his collection. Back when he got a bunch of large cents in the 70's they only sold for about 7 bucks a piece. You imagine buying them at that price today? lol

Definitely my oldest find. Is it a large or small date? I think a small date goes for $15-20, right?

I thought it was a large date. I also found a few silver halves including an impaired proof. Perhaps someone raided a collection..

Wow, that is amazing!!  I would have never thought anyone would ever find an obsolete form of currency in circulation, let alone a large cent! But I guess it makes sense seeing how it's roughly the diameter of a half dollar and has a similar composition to modern halves sans the clad covering. Still an amazing find though.
