It is unbelievable how many buyers do not read the text
The picture shows a Krugerrand like coin with
1/2 g So in their mind they think they are bidding on half
an ounce 15.55 grams whereas in reality they are bidding
on half a gram which is around 8 euro of gold

If it is truely from Liberia it will be gold
If it comes from one of those that make the smallest coins of the world somewhere in Europe it can go from a gold plating to 500/1000 gold making it worth all of 4 euro

A few weeks ago somebody was offering a coin or medal advertised
in grains which is a weightmeasurement nearly no European will
understand
I can not even be bothered to calculate because my shipping cost runs typically between 7.5 and 25 euro from Germany depending on how greedy the vendor is and whether he really insist only DHL can ship a coin and the fully insured and registered and signed for delivery from the German post is not acceptable to him

Now this is an intresting deceiver
It is called the 2001 prestige set
But if you are very observant you will see a certificate is placed
over the empty hole of the one ounce coin and you will read that the one ounce coin is not mentioned in the inventory below
This deception from a 100 % feedbacker is disgusting
and was found by a german pal of mine
After they swindled me with a silver sized holder by putting a certificate over the hole in the holder I am getting very sensitive
as to where people put their certificates

Also looks polished, cleaned, or whizzed. It appears it'll be awhile before I start bowing to "Your Majesty".

No I think Aholds only photoshops his coins
all have the same Aholds look
He used to call them cosmetically clean
I bought several coins from him until a certain 40 Lire wife of napoleon Maria Luiga di Parma came along
I was the highest bidder at 400 euro and reserve was not met so he sent me an email reserve was 600 and pretty please would I buy it
( outside ebay ? I do not know But I know his choice uncirculated was only an AU58 at best )
I know he is English but I told him the story about
the rolling donut

Yes I know that only true americans would understand
about the .........flying ............
Of course it is physically impossible
We had no donuts in Belgium untill about the 1985's so I never
tried when I was young
The French and Belgians are a lot more realistic in their expressions
That means that all their wishes are really possible but somewhat unpleasant

But who knows what babelfish or any other translating program would make of that if I were allowed to post it in the original language

I speak 4 languages fluent and a fifth more basic and it is amazing
all the people I met in a foreign language wanted to exchange swear words first

Hi ageka, and CC gold collectors

I have some doubts about these guineas on ebay

They have strange look to me, like they were all cast from the same batch of metal on the same day. What do you think?

The first and the third definitely have a feel of electroplating or sandcasting ( lost wax system )
I would not buy any of these without expert authentication

I once asked help on an old Italian coin and it was very quickly confirmed it was a fake ( as I suspected )

If you are intrested in buying any of these you can ask help from the specialists ( one of which is a member of this forum but I forgot which one )

Hi Ageka,
Thanks! Yes, I am interested in guineas. I would not touch these. I am a member and contributor to CFDL, I will post them there.
