Quote: ordered from Colonial Acres My bison arrived 2 days ago, with a few extras. Quite satisfied ordering my bullion items from CA. Always pretty close to spot, I can use my CC without any surcharge, and I usually pad the order with some extras to get the order over $100 - hence cheaper shipping. As an added bonus I get to save on any PST - I'm out of province and don't have any HST.

I just got mine, along with the Wolf(!!) today from one of my suppliers, which was a total shock to me! It's so nice to have the set complete, and I switched the other 4 from binder paged via 2/2's to quadrums in a 6-slot case. The effect is stunning. I am going to design a custom insert, and package a few sets for sale.

There shouldn't be any tax on 99.95 bullion regardless.

There's not, but there is usually tax on the other goodies I order. I pay the GST like everyone else, but CA, like GW, doesn't charge me the PST since it's an out-of-province transaction, and my province doesn't want to harmonize their tax with the federal tax.

Just bought mine to complete the set. It cost me $30.16. Wish I bought the other recent ones today because of the price of silver. Not sure, but I think the wolf now sells for around $60 instead of $70.

I am putting 2 extra sets together to sit on, the first for a year, the second for 5 years. I expect the set will sell for $600 within 2 years, and $1000+ in 5.

don't see $1000+ ever unless price of silver goes up that much as well Remember there are 1 million of these guys out there. No other coin/medal/bullion, that have a mintage of 1 million sells for 33x melt (taking $30/oz as spot)
The wolf can go for $70 if it's sealed and white-plague free

We shall see. You do understand that I was referring to the 6 coin set? 6 coins selling at $166.66/ea is $1000.

My bad.
But a set is not not going to increase the value of each coin and certainly will not make the wolf worth the same as the bison. For a set to cost $1000 the wolf will have to be at least $200-205. That's 6-7x spot for a high mintage bullion coin and still a dream IMO.
The only thing comparable in price would be certain years of silver pandas, and even then, for the price of a silver panda variation to go above $150, mintage numbers has to be in the 10s of the thousands. That's still close to 100x less than a million with the added disadvantage of 1000x less collector base.
These are beautiful coins don't get me wrong, and it's good to see that wolfs are still selling for at least $60 irregardless of spot silver. I just wouldn't dream too big.

I think the huge gains will "catch up" to the Bear and Cougar as the delay in the realization that the set is finished will allow the trend to continue. I have put two sets together now, made up in custom cases which result in a stunning display set. To be honest, I am seriously considaring focusing my purchasing almost exclusively on Wildlife bullion and ATB 5 ouncers going forward. The boxes I have my WL sets in are stackable, and are unassuming when closed. I originally put the second set together with the intent to sell, but I decided to sell off several stalled runs I have held on to despite losing interest in them, such as my incomplete 1935-present silver dollar set, my british silver collection, etc. I think I am finally "getting" the hobby, as my personal collection has become razor-thin in focus, and it makes things soooo much easier!
