I could see that in an low end AU holder, is there much/any luster we can't see in the photo? EF45 all day long.

I will try to get some better photos up. These make it look brown. It is actually bright with a lot of luster with no contact marks.

Kinda of thought there was luster, I'm pretty good at oicking it out even in dark shots. Looking forward to more shots! Try shooting in daylight like a window. See if that helps, I've not had as much sucess shooting nickels myself either.

These photos are better, still can't quite capture the shine that is in the fields.

I would venture an EF-45 for this nickel.

I can see in a AU-50 holder if it's not in one or better already.

I'll stick with my original call of AU-50/53 low end range.

AU-55. I got a great deal regardless on this one. Picked it up for XF40 price. I think it easily makes AU-55 in hand.

In hand I honestly thought it was under graded. Now I think it might be what it is, AU55. Now to decide if I want to crack it for my type set or not.

I was going to say AU-55. I see you've posted the result, but I honestly had made up my mind before the last post. I was going to go AU-50 with the first pics, but the additional photos had me go higher. I don't believe it to be under-graded. It's not a BU coin as there are very small areas of wear so that really only leaves you one increment left. If you submitted it 10 times, it might come back AU-58 once or twice, but I think enough original skin is gone for 55 to be accurate.

Nice!! Congratulations of the nice grade!

I obviously under-graded this one. A bit of soft strike throws me sometimes!!
