Numis has xf40 listed at 650.
The PCGS site might have pictures of it if you can get the cert number and look it up

Wow, great choice on coin! Can't wait to see pics! I just bought the same one yesterday.. 1843 Seated dollar, Only raw, and EF-40! I paid $455.. But after some haggling, lol. Probably because I spent another $600 there on top of this one.. But were it slabbed I've no doubt I would have paid more. I kinda like buying raw though.. As long as you have an idea on how to grade, and trust the person your getting it from you can't beat the price. I would have never bought it raw online or such, but I trust my coin guy, he's never steered me in the wrong direction grade wise. He's the only one of the 3 local shops I trust with his grades... Too bad he's the farthest of the 3 away, lol. I was just about to post about it and the 1826 half I got when I saw your post! Wow.. That's funny we both got, well getting the same year in a matter of days! Congrats, and again can't wait to see it!

Wow. IMO, that's an incredible coin and I think you should be very, very happy with that purchase. It's a beautiful example of a tough type. Congrats on the addition.

The more I look at her the more I think AU. I just wish I was better taking pics to show how she really looks. I am 1 coin away from completing my 7070 so think I may try to up my photo skills.

I'm torn. If I saw this in an AU50 slab, I'd believe it. At EF45 money, it's pretty well-bought.

Nice pick up for a very good and fair price, I don't think it would upgrade, but it's a solid 45 for sure, too much wear on the eagles wing tip to fo into AU territory. Can't tell on the obv photo when the coin is at an angle. You did good on getting this one. Look forward to better photos, if the obverse is nicer than the reverse it might squeak into AU points, but it's also a $1000 upgrade, so a TPG will be reluctant IMO, to upgrade as the guarantee is on their end as far as the money goes.
